Dr Sarah Menzies is a consultant respiratory physician at FHFT with specialist interests in tuberculosis and lung infection.
She qualified in Medicine at the University of Nottingham in 1996. After spending time working at the Royal Perth Hospital in Australia and subsequently in Bristol, she did her general Respiratory training in the Oxford deanery. During this time, she completed research in pleural infection and developed her interest in tuberculosis.
She has been working as a consultant at the Trust since 2010. She provides regular clinics services in tuberculosis and general respiratory medicine, and also provides inpatient care for respiratory and general medical patients. She is also involved with the training and supervision of resident doctors and medical students, and participates in tuberculosis research projects.
She is a member of the South East England TB Control Board and the Joint Tuberculosis Council.
